My rhododendron has little green buds now. Sometime this spring I will see large pink fluffy flowers from my kitchen window.

Song of Songs 2:12

הַנִּצָּנִים נִרְאוּ בָאָרֶץ, עֵת הַזָּמִיר הִגִּיעַ

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing is come.

My mother a"h used to cut forsythia in February, and bring it inside to "force" it to bloom early.

Mother in Israel,

I'll have to try that, bringing forsythia. Might look pretty on our Shabbat table.

What a lovely picture. There's something so special about those first early buds.

Robin,

Thanks for visiting! I'm enjoying photographing all the early buds. But then I groan at the brown patches and pull the weeds, too. Not much time to garden right now.
