Flower Challenge

orange flower
As I won’t be posting again until Sunday morning, I thought I would leave this pretty orange flower at the top of my blog until then. Can anyone identify it? I took the photo in Jerusalem.

This is probably an eschscholzia (thank you, Ilana-Davita!)

What about California poppy (Eschscholzia californica)?

  3. Leora says:

Hmmm… this looks floppier than a poppy.

    wonderful color, nice picture!

  6. The color is right for a California Poppy, but as Leora wrote, it’s too floppy for a poppy.

(Editor to “Louis:” Careful there! You are dangerously close to rhyme that’s not worth a dime!

“Louis” to Editor: (ahem) after THAT, your point is? )

  7. Leora says:

Louis la Vache, thanks for funny comment. Even if you aren’t saying much that is new.

Don’t know what it is other than pretty and happy. :)

Love the flower, but I’m not good at those things. Sorry
