It's so interesting to see travel snapshots of that area. We only see images of Israel on the news, when violence is happening there. Thanks for sharing its beauty.

I had a few extra minutes to go back to some of the blogs that I had looked through earlier, but didn't get to spend enough time on. I keep a list and then go back later on and read more on certain ones that are of particular interest to me. Yours was one of those and is so good. I enjoyed so much your comments and you sharing your experiences on your two week vacation back there. I am going to also go back and read some more of your previous posts.

I really enjoyed your comment about wondering what the story the japanese or any other cultures for that matter would hear!!

The Sea of Galilee photo (and all of the pictures) is something I've read about for ever but actually seeing it through your eyes and hearing through your words, intensify my interest and I found myself continuing to think about this all day. I am so glad that I have found your blog!

You keep writing and I'll keep reading! Thanks so much for sharing your travels and thoughts with us!!

I'd be curious to know too...

Perhaps the story of Jesus calming the storm in this sea would nice to tell, in whichever language or from whatever religion a tourist is...

and I'd certainly want to visit this place too! Thanks for sharing!

Gerald, as I said to Michelle, it's really the tourists that often want a religion-specific tour. Atheists can choose whatever they like. I suppose the Japanese tourists could do the same.
There are many knowledgeable flora and fauna guides in Israel, but one would get that sort of tour in an environmental center. There's one in the Hula Valley, north of the Kinneret, that I would love to visit someday.

I suspect the Japanese might get the Christian guide rather than the Jewish one - but what about the aetheists?

Can't one get a guide that tells about the flora and fauna?

Thank you for the tour of an area I have never visited and only read about. The pictures were lovely and your commentary was very interesting and thoughtful. The final picture is one I would frame!

Thanks for your visit and comments on my SWF!

Good question whether the stories change from group to group. ;-) It looks so peaceful in your photos that it's hard to realize the strife there.
