My chrysanthemum (or “mum” for short) showed its first bloom last week.

Today’s Flowers is hosted by Luiz Santilli Jr. Thank you, Luiz, for this fun photography meme.

Lovely color! I have only a few straggly mums and they won’t bloom for several weeks yet.

These are a beautiful flower…. I grew these a few years ago and they did well until a deep frost wiped them out one year…. my father also grew the large Chrysanthemum’s in a glass house and showed them…. he sometimes won. That was over 45 years ago but the memory seemed like yesterday then… :O)

  4. Dulce says:

lovely! i love its color. my first time to see chrysanthemum in that shade. I usually see the Malaysian mums in that color but the petals are single-layered.

The chrysanthemum are full in Brazil.
Our temperate winter ,allows the emergence of flowers
    in several species of spring.

    Beautiful!
