Sky Watch up a tree

bare maple
My neighbor’s tall maple tree left an avalanche of leaves in our driveway a month ago.

berry tree
This pretty bare tree with red berries is around the corner from my home. I’ve seen others like it here in Highland Park. (Ideas were: crab apple or American Ash; no, it’s been identified as a hawthorn! More pics coming soon.)

Both shots are beautiful. I am sorry I can't help you identify the tree which bears berries.

Both are pretty. I like skywatching through trees too especially during the autumn and winter months.

What a wonderful "Berries" frame you get against that blue Sky.
Love the colors on this one, that's exactly what I need at this period of the year.

Both nice shots, but I live the red berries against the blue sky. Wish I could tell you what they are, but alas, I can't.

Both lovely shots Leora; but that last one with the red berries against a brillant blue sky is certainly gorgeous!
I'll have to come back to see if someone knows what kind of tree it is.

Nice pictures - liked the no two best, with the red berries against the very blue sky. But I am also fascinated by old, big trees against the sky!
Look forward to your Dead Sea pictures!
Have a fine week-end!

The funny thing about the first photo is that it would be all green just a couple months back, and wouldn't even qualify for skywatch. The second photo is really well done, sort of a gateway into the holidays.

Leora: I love that second shot with the berries. That is a keeper for certain.
BTW: We have had a roller coaster ride through our Fall/Winter weather.

I always think photos of trees look so great when you've got that wonderful blue sky all around and through them. Nice shots.

In response to you comment, I'd love to get on that little strip in that photo too. I just haven't figured out a way to do it without getting wet and it's a no swimming area... not that I can swim anyway. :-D

naturegirl, I put someone local on the task to find out for me. Let's give her a few days. Of her guesses, I am guessing "crab apple." Glad you are still interested.
