Sepia with Teal

I love the color accent setting on my camera. My daughter’s ballet tutu was in teal, so teal got the accent for these photos. In Photoshop, I just adjusted the magenta and yellow settings a bit to add some sepia.
This photo has sentimental value, as the paintings that are highlighted because of the teal setting are my mother’s landscapes.

Two lovely shots. The first one is really beautiful. I like your room too; is this the lounge? We have wooden floor too.
Lounge? This is our all purpose front living room. My husband wishes we had a den. One side (not shown) has 2 couches and comfy chair and tables littered with books. The other side is often the stage for my daughter’s shows.
Lounge must be British English, but yes it means linving-room.
Two very lovely photos. You did the color accenting right in the camera? I’m impressed, I never even think to mess around with a shot until it’s already up on my computer screen.

The teal is accented even more with the surrounding sepia that softens the view for the vibrant colors of the dress. Our daughter wore teal for her recital dress when she was in second grade. I never tired of her recitals!

The second seems to have a teal glow behind your daughter.

Dianne, so nice of you to use the word “professional”! I like the portraits I do of my kids much better than the “professional” ones we pay for at school. My son actually lost the last set of pics they took of him; he left them in a desk. I cared more that I wasted $30 than I didn’t get the pics.

As Ralph said, our daughter wore teal one June for a recital, then wore the costume for Halloween ~ that way we got a little bit more use out of it!

lomantos, you can do the images one of two ways. Either convert it after you have the picture, which is the way most people do the shot. Or you can use the camera setting.
