A Squooshy Cabin

Jack hosts this week’s Haveil Havalim, the weekly blog carnival of the Jewish Blogosphere. He compares Haveil Havalim to the famous scene from Night at the Opera, when Harpo, Chico, Groucho and too many others crowd into an ocean liner cabin.
And I updated my Pics of the Month page. The page features some of my favorite paintings, photos or Flash creations. Featured in this post is a watercolor I did in 2007. Any ideas why I chose it for this post?
During Pesach…the four cups (and wine) are a metaphor for heightening our senses and awareness.
The fourth cup represents Hallel/praise, and is also known as The Cup of Elijah. We praise G-d for the plagues, the plagues that the second cup represents.
Actually, Elijah is the 5th cup. I learned yesterday that some Sephardim do not do “Kos” (cup of) Eliyahu.

If I recall correctly, I think Harpo orders a ton of eggs in that scene. That also could be related to Pesach, all those eggs. We eat one egg because of the Karban Hagigah, one of the sacrifices from the Temple. But what’s the excuse for all the others? Innovative kosher cooks?
