A Design, For Fun!

hello_design
I was playing with the ideas in this tutorial by Chris Spooner last night, and I thought, why not post what I did. Not sure what I am going to do with this design, but at some point, making those fun swirly objects will be useful! I used Illustrator to create the vector designs (the rounded blobby things) and Photoshop to put it all together in a collage.

Below is the same exact illustration, but one thing is different. Can you guess what it is?

You got it, Dhaval. I don't think many of my other readers would have gotten it, though.

how was he able to figure that out? (other than looking at the properties of the image)

That's cute. Some day when we get a stronger computer, I hope to be able to play with graphics.

There is a program called GIMP, which is free. If you get a computer system that can support it, I would love to find out if you find it a useful one. I haven't used it.

Batya, there are photo editors online, too. I don't believe you would need a more powerful computer to use those (like Picasa). Just upload and use their tools.

So how did Dhaval know that?

Right clicking, as he said! Learn to right click on images to find out more.

Well I tried hard to find visible differences and when I couldnt, I just right clicked on the picture and checked properties on both... I still wasnt sure as I was wrong when I guessed last post item hehe...

I actually see more dithering on the top one, which is a jpg. If you look at the edges of the green swirly thing, you may be able to see the dots of dither. The gif format is flatter. So I can see differences even without the right-clicking.
