Today’s Flowers: Pink Chrysanthemum

Pink and Rose Volunteer Chrysanthemum near White Alyssum
This “volunteer” chrysanthemum (I didn’t plant it; it’s right next to a large, red chrysanthemum bush that I did plant) showed up this autumn in shades of pink and rose. The yellow petaled flower is one of my rudbeckia (black-eyed susan).

Mums are one of my favorite things about fall.
I was quite surprised by the pink in the color myself.
I did not know that mums ever self-sowed. How wonderful for you!
I suppose they are happy in my garden! I throw old parts with dried flowers in piles under the bushes – that may help with getting new ones to come up.
