I think of my first trip to England when I think of sheep and how they dotted the countryside landscape.

Mimi, thanks for joining. I have vague memories of seeing rabbits hanging in a shop...probably in the Italian North End in Boston.

sheep - getting stuck in a "sheep jam" when on honeymoon. We were driving around the Yorkshire Dales, and found ourselves surrounded by hundreds of sheep on a very narrow road. Just had to park the car and wait until they had bleated past!

Coming in late...I am reminded of an Arab village I past through recently, where on the main street a butcher's shop displayed entire sheep hanging from from ceiling hooks. Underneath the skinned carcasses, living sheep nosed around, probably next to be slaughtered.

Sorry if it's grim, but that was my immediate association.

Deborah, lots of connections! I'm glad someone besides Ilana-Davita noted the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry drawing. It's actually my drawing, while looking at his book.
