Nature Notes: 2009 Review + Mystery Tree

Does anyone know what kind of tree this is? I photographed this bud on the day we went sledding in Donaldson Park. I’ll go back to Donaldson in the spring to photograph it again with leaves. Below is a shot of more of the buds.

Oh this is great Leora..it must have taken so much time to gather up all these. I can’t believe I forgot to put up my bratty robin as one of my favorite baby pix. That was such a funny thing to witness. I can’t wait to go back and visit these post….Thanks again..put a much needed smile on my face….Michelle
It would have taken even longer if I had posted a pic from each one, all cropped to be the same size as each other.
I was glad RJFlamingo was on Twitter last night… she helped me pick out one of hers.
You really are good with these best-ofs.
Thanks. They kind of wear me out. Next week back to business as usual.
How cool, Leora I just notice your review of 2009 and saw my Brown headed Nuthatch. Thanks for choosing my post.
I wish you and your family all the best in 2010.
Happy New Years.
Looking forward to Nature Notes of 2010!
What a happy surprise, Leora! This was a bit of work for you. I’m so glad you found something to highlight from my non-photog blog!! Happy New Year!
I loved your picks of the garden photo.
I love the shots of your mystery tree but don’t know what it is. Thank you so much for including me in your 2009 nature notes review. What a thoughtful idea to link nature notes posts from the past year. I’ll have to check and see if I missed any of them when they were posted.
Since there were periods this year when I was WAY too busy to read or do Nature Notes, it was nice to look through everyone’s (or most people’s) posts and enjoy the natural beauty.
We’ve got snow coming down hard in New Jersey, so I am out of here to go snap some photos of the natural beauty…
I don’t know what the tree is but I like the top picture. Happy New Year Leora!
What a nice collage of images!
Happy 2010!
I’m not sure what kind of tree it is either.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Welcome to 2010!!
No idea about the tree either,…
But those ‘fruits’ look intriguing.
