This fall view of the Raritan at the Ayres Beach Natural Area looks across to the neat row of trees in New Brunswick’s Boyd Park. The more unkempt foreground on our side actually shows two properties. The lower part shown here is the former Red’s Marina, now purchased by the county, cleaned up, and (since the photo) re-seeded to grass as public open space. Closest to the camera is the privately owned Barwood property. Will it be purchased and this view preserved? No word yet.
