Hill Above Crowells Road. The pink-and-white bloom of spring beauty covers a hilltop in the wooded upland portion of "The Meadows." Standing on this hilltop, you are above a small gorge cut by a stream descending from the end of Crowells Road. In winter, it is just possible to glimpse bridges far down river, where it widens into Raritan Bay. Photo: Arnold Henderson
