The Meadows |

There is always water in the stream below Crowells Road in The Meadows. The fairly low flow shown here after an April cleanup of the area leaves parts of the rocky bed exposed. At such a time, water flowing over small ledges creates a series of miniature waterfalls sending ripple patterns downstream. Higher water after a big rain washes over more of the rock, explaining why the large rocks in the foreground remain stripped of dirt or plants. Photo: Arnold Henderson
