At the start of July 2006, the Department of Public Works began preliminary clearing along the blue-tagged preliminary trail route around The Meadows downstream from Donaldson Park. The first part cleared was the 'field trail' across the central fields of The Meadows into the woods by the Crowells Road stream. This photo shows the field trail just as it leaves the field for the woods, facing east. This is not a finished or managed trail, but is now broad and clear enough for workers to get in and make further improvements and adjustments of the route.
