Snakes, birds, and flowers are just a few of the reasons for protecting the natural environment, and their posters pull the kids over to the table. At the Raritan River Fest held in Johnson Park by the pond, Tim Coffey and Arnold Henderson passed out posters on watersheds and the water cycle and shared with passers-by the latest news on two of Highland Park's environmental projects. These are the Eugene Young Environmental Center (scheduled for completion of the structures before the end of 2006, with plantings later), and the on-going Meadows trail improvement project.
