Wishing you all a year of health, prosperity, hope, common sense, emotional well-being, tolerance except in cases of the intolerable, happiness except in cases where one needs to grieve, wisdom, understanding, and have fun, too.
Oh, and listening, such an essential trait, as most of the time others need to talk, and not get feedback…they need the ears of the one they are speaking to, not the verbal feedback…they need the non-threatening environment.
Lorri, thanks for your nice words. Sometimes people feel like they need to be happy all the time, but happiness is not always appropriate, especially when grief is involved. Thanks for understanding how to listen.
Thank you Leora for your good wishes, and the beautiful photo.
To quote rabbi Riskin “May God bless us with the strength to meet all challenges we face”.
Ilana-Davita, I tried to find that Rabbi Riskin quote through Google, and instead I came up with George W. Bush and King Hussein. I suppose others have the same sentiment!
These apples are brimming with life and life is sweet indeed! Thanks for the salutation, and I really hope that as you do that tolerance would increase for opposing viewpoints, that we can have the freedom to think as we will, without being compelled. Happy New year!
I wish we saw more thoughts like yours here in the “shanot tovot” (greeting “cards”). Food for thought, along with the apples and honey!
May you be inscribed in the Book of Life for 5769.
What a beautiful photograph! Your message is lovely…including the grief-stricken.
Wishes to you for a good and sweet New Year, filled with good health, happiness, prosperity, peace, tolerance and understanding.

Lshana Tova! Beautiful picture.
L’shana Tovah, Leora. Good health and happiness to you and your family.
Shana tova u’metuka!
The same to you Leora
Ah, that was lovely. The apples looks delicious!
What a beautiful picture, Leora, and some great wishes to go with it!
I may not understand Jewish rituals, but you’re a great person!
You have included much wonderful wisdom and I believe so very stongly in being there and listening. Everyone needs understanding.
Lovely apples pictures too.
Happy New Year, Leora! Enjoy the family and dinner (Are you having brisket – I love brisket!)!
Oh yes, and I wish it all back to you!

Great pictures! Shanah tovah to you too!
Thanks you all for your kind wishes. Shana Tova to those of us starting anew.
Mary, no brisket. I did that one year. The prices are outrageous, and I don’t really care THAT much for the stuff.

G’mar Chatima Tova, Leora. What a beautiful, heartfelt wish.
