Last week I found these leaves on my kitchen table. Naturally, I took photos. I found out later my eight-year-old daughter had gathered them with a friend for a project that did not happen. “You took photos of them?” she asked in happy surprise.
Last week I found these leaves on my kitchen table. Naturally, I took photos. I found out later my eight-year-old daughter had gathered them with a friend for a project that did not happen. “You took photos of them?” she asked in happy surprise.
When I saw the photo, I actually wondered what the creamy background was and why the leaves were arranged in such a creative manner; now, I know.
I take it your camera is never very far from your hand.
Such pretty leaves but um…to bad the project didn’t happen!
Oh, don’t feel so bad. There are others and others and others. These girls think faster than their imaginations take them.
Beautiful collection of leaves.
Isn’t it precious when our children are filled with joy in surprise?
Autumnal leaves are a treat as the cold approaches. Many hues are seen in the trees and on the ground, the ruby red the boldest and best looking. You validated your daughter’s artistry with a lovely photo!
Autumn foliage are so pretty! Thanks for sharing!

it turned out to a great composition, looks heartshaped. How lucky for her that you made this photo
What beautful foliage – it brought to mind the line of poetry ; ‘Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness’ from Keats…
Rachel, I liked that so much I wanted to repeat it:
โSeason of mist and mellow fruitfulnessโ
I love the leaves. I am thinking of making a christmas tree made of that leaves ๐

Aren’t you glad you did? ๐ Kids really dig the digital photos. As a teacher, I’d love to have time to do more with that but it’s already so tight with so many demands.
Enjoy the rest of Fall.
