Well, sometimes the ordinary looks very artistic as does your contrast between a purple potato and four yellow bananas.

In reality, the potato is dark pink, but it did come out purple after I manipulated the colors other than the bananas, which I left bright.

Bananas are a favorite in our house. I try to have a banana a day with my breakfast.

My middle son and husband like to eat them. I like them for their sculptural qualities. And what a great yellow hue.

I'm sure ordinary and mundane is feeling pretty good after last week's wild weather. Great shot.

This is the ordinary looking interesting. Actually pink or purple potatoes are not ordinary for me.

Ah, isn't the role of the artist? Or the artistic photographer? To present what everyone else sees as ordinary in a bit of a different light?
