My daughter and her friends worked hard on this film last week. They are submitting it to their school’s talent show. I wonder how many movies get submitted? My middle son, the avid filmmaker, helped my daughter piece together all the shots, helped her select background music, and added slides so she could type up the credits.
This is the film description: “Once upon a time, there was an Evil Queen who encountered malicious GPS directions that led her to the wrong door…and into Sleeping Beauty’s house instead of Snow White’s.”

How wonderful and creative! And so lovely that her brother helped!
I was happy that he took out time at midterm study time to help her string this together. It would have taken me days to figure out what he did in a few minutes.
That was great! Very interesting take on an old classic. Good luck to them!
Loved it!!
The difference between what kids can do today thanks to technology and the limitations we faced are mind boggling.
Your daughter really looks like you.
Years ago, in the summer after 7th grade(?), I took a film animation class. In those days, we just drew, and some adult handled all the (very, very expensive) equipment. Now my kids own their own equipment, still somewhat expensive but at least accessible. And the videos are so much better, because it’s easier to build up experience.
Very impressive!
Creativity certainly runs in the family! I hope the jury appreciates their effort.
I loved it! Your children are very talented! I loved the expressiveness.
That’s wonderful Leora! It’s great to see budding actresses and film makers. So often, you see images of children stuck behind keyboards when they could be exercising their bodies and minds. You children and their friends are both talented and imaginative. Thanks for sharing it. It brought a smile.
I do try to get them to have access to creative programs so they aren’t just watching. Unfortunately, my kids do a fair amount of the screen staring stuff as well. At least when they are playing a game, they are using their brains and exercising their reflexes.
I always love to see kids make videos since it reminds me of the times I assigned video projects or would tape kids in the classroom. Being able to create and perform really makes things come to life. They get to be active instead of passive!
Yes, Jeri, having kids actively put together a project instead of passively reading or watching or regurgitating info is wonderful.
I adore this! What a wonderfully creative thing to do. 🙂
I love the accent. I would butcher it. Great video
My daughter loves British accents. We have a friend here from England; when my daughter sees her, she goes over to talk to her just so she can hear authentic British.
How exciting (and how talented too!) – good luck to them!
