Masquerade Ballet in Sepia

masquerade ballet in sepia
This was my favorite dance at my daughter’s ballet recital (not counting the ballet, tap and jazz dances she performed, of course). It seemed like a fitting ballet for this time of year; on Sunday Jews around the world celebrate the holiday of Purim, and dressing up in costume is part of the tradition.

Hahaha! I like how you've left the bits of red! Purim is such a funtradition. Hope you and your family have a great time.

Purim is my favorite holiday - that probably had nothing to do with the fact that they did this dance, but in my mind I associate the dance with the upcoming holiday.

The performing artists are at work, making ballet moves while hiding in costume. Neat, we only know them by form, which is really mysterious, as well as artistic.

I"m glad I read the comment by Mrs. S. How cool that the girl is peeking through the door! Sometimes I'm not as observant as I should be.
Those striped tights distracted me!

This must have been a fun performance. I like how you left some reds in here.

Leora, didn't know dressing up in costume was part of the celebration. Happy Purim! Happy Sepia Scenes! :)

Oh, yes, and my daughter already has a Hermione costume! She is now crazed about the Harry Potter books, putting on a British accent and talking about Muggles.
