Thursday Challenge: Guinea Pig

Bingo the guinea pig
How can I pass up an excuse to post a portrait of Bingo the guinea pig? I hope I’m not making his cage mate, Racer, too jealous.

This week’s Thursday Challenge is “PETS” (Dogs, Cats, Birds, Fish,…).
Next Week: HAPPY (Celebrations, Parties, Gifts, Enjoyment,…)

Do the two guinea pigs actually interact with each other? Some animals are considered social, so that people are supposed to keep them in pairs (as I was informed by an owner of 2 alpacas) but I didn't think that applies to guinea pigs.

Sometimes they play, but maybe they are chasing each other around the cage? Some said yes with pairing guinea pigs, some said not necessary. My daughter wanted two. Two is not much harder than one.

What a beauty. When I was little I also had a guinea pig. Nice pet.

Who would have thought a guinea pig could be photogenic?

I showed my daughter this photo last night, and she got so excited! Made it a little harder to say it's time for bed.

Even my son thought it was a good pic of our piggie.

If I was your daughter's age and Bingo was mine, I'd be excited too!

Very cute. My daughter wants a hamster or guinea pig so badly she actually took a couple of red bliss potatoes and pretended they were her potato hamsters. One of them she named "chucky sue" and she took them to school.
