Can you tell me what is going on in my daughter’s drawing? I will post the text above the drawing by Wednesday in a different post. Enjoy chatting about the drawing.

There’s a pirate ship (with a very rabbinical looking figure at the helm ;) ).

  2. Pirate ship of course…watch, I will be way off..LOL

  3. I’m thinking it’s the Pilgrims coming to America – that looks more like a pilgrim hat than a rabbi’s hat to me.

  4. Or Columbus. It could also be Columbus. Either way a Thanksgiving type theme with a voyage of discovery.

    • Leora says:

Funny you say that, about Columbus or the Pilgrims. My daughter gets the ships confused – last week she said the Pilgrims came on the Santa Maria.

  5. Ilana-Davita says:

Pilgrim Fathers spotting what later became the USA.

  6. Carver says:

I see someone steering and someone looking out with their binoculars. Then I saw the comments about the Pilgrims and thought I should have thought of that with Thanksgiving. I love children’s art. My daughter is 24 and I still have some of her art from elementary school.

If it wasn’t Thanksgiving time, I’d say Washington crossing the Potomac but yeah…Pilgrims…

    great!!!

    • Leora says:

Well, we have been to both Washington Crossing Parks, the one on the New Jersey side and the one on the PA side. So those experiences do influence.

My daughter has never been to Plimouth Plantation, but I’ve told her about it.

  8. Ellie says:

I like the pink feathers on their hats. Your daughter likes to accessorize the characters. May be a future designer?

  9. Jew Wishes says:

I will go with the pilgrims coming to America. My first thought was Columbus, but I am discounting that.

  10. Rivster says:

Goodness, it looks like a pilgrim ship. What a great rendering. Art so runs in your family!
