My neighbor’s tall maple tree left an avalanche of leaves in our driveway a month ago.
This pretty bare tree with red berries is around the corner from my home. I’ve seen others like it here in Highland Park. (Ideas were: crab apple or American Ash; no, it’s been identified as a hawthorn! More pics coming soon.)

Both shots are beautiful. I am sorry I can’t help you identify the tree which bears berries.
I don’t know what kind of tree it is, but I love to decorate for Christmas w/ red berries – they’re just so pretty!
Nature is truly beautiful! Happy weekend! Hope you get time to visit my corner too…
Both are pretty. I like skywatching through trees too especially during the autumn and winter months.
Ha! I believe the top tree dropped a few leaves! The tree with red berries is lovely against the sky.
What a wonderful “Berries” frame you get against that blue Sky.
Love the colors on this one, that’s exactly what I need at this period of the year.
Pretty blue sky and berries..Someone will know what the tree is..
Both nice shots, but I live the red berries against the blue sky. Wish I could tell you what they are, but alas, I can’t.
Both lovely shots Leora; but that last one with the red berries against a brillant blue sky is certainly gorgeous!
I’ll have to come back to see if someone knows what kind of tree it is.
Nice pictures – liked the no two best, with the red berries against the very blue sky. But I am also fascinated by old, big trees against the sky!
Look forward to your Dead Sea pictures!
Have a fine week-end!
Beautiful photos, wish I could help identify the tree! Lovely sky! Thanks for sharing!
The funny thing about the first photo is that it would be all green just a couple months back, and wouldn’t even qualify for skywatch. The second photo is really well done, sort of a gateway into the holidays.
Well done, I love blue skies and you’ve capture it well.
Cheers!

Happy sky watch Friday
Love your beautiful photos.
Leora: I love that second shot with the berries. That is a keeper for certain.
BTW: We have had a roller coaster ride through our Fall/Winter weather.
I always think photos of trees look so great when you’ve got that wonderful blue sky all around and through them. Nice shots.
In response to you comment, I’d love to get on that little strip in that photo too. I just haven’t figured out a way to do it without getting wet and it’s a no swimming area… not that I can swim anyway. 😀
Wonderful shots.Love the colours!
Beautiful combination of red berries and the blue sky!
lovely compositions… the trees and the berries add to the character..
Great shots, thanks for stopping by!
Hi Leora – thanks so much for stopping by my blog 🙂 Lovely photos! There’s nothing like big, mature trees. The red berries against the blue sky are beautiful.
Lovely photos! The berry photo is especially lovely.
The berries always make beautiful shots on a crisp winter’s day.
Great shots!
oh,i love those berries!
Oh so beautifu.! the branches and berries against the sky, just lovely.
I am giggling because nobody so far can give you the name of the red berries that we all comment on that look wonderful against a blue sky!!
Google where are you!! LOL
naturegirl, I put someone local on the task to find out for me. Let’s give her a few days. Of her guesses, I am guessing “crab apple.” Glad you are still interested.
