An assortment of reds I present to you today:
Many gray catbirds have been spotted in our neighborhood, and this one posed for me on my neighbor’s lawn.
I figured I better show you this clown before I forget all about the photo. I enjoyed seeing him up close, talking to the kids. In the background is the Salute to Israel Parade down Fifth Avenue in New York City.
The main vampire, a seventh grader, was excellent in the show The Brave Little Tailor, a presentation by the Middlesex County College Theater Camp in Edison, New Jersey. My daughter was a castle kid, and she did a great job of jumping into her friend’s arms when the vampire threatened everyone on stage.

Original choices. I like the facial expressions of both the clown and the vampire.
That is one very convincing vampire! I was wondering who is more scary the vamp or the clown 🙂 I have the same clown wig – true!
Hard to believe he’s only about 12 years old, huh?
Nice pictures and the clown is so colorful.
Summer fun! I hope your daughter enjoyed being a castle kid. I think it’s such good experience.
So. Leora. Vampire literature fan that I am, how could I NOT say that the last pictures is OUTSTANDING. And these are youngsters? I would not have guessed.
You are a vampire literary fan? Hmmm.
Interesting thing is all the photos I took of the vampire were a little fuzzy or a lot fuzzy; the other characters were sometimes crisp. I guess the actor moved around a lot!
I am also captured by the vampire photo. An out-of-this-world mood. Like a Rembrandt painting.

Wow, very hard to believe he’s only 12 years old.
That photo of the vampire is very cool!
Interesting combination of photos for Ruby Tuesday this week, Leora. 😉
It is a nice things when kids of any age are allowed to act for an audience. The vampire looks handsome and his quiet showmanship makes his performance even more impressive. Wonderful subjects you have presented!
Love the middle one!
I love that the clown’s hair matching his collar! 🙂
Vampires seem to be all the rage. I just borrowed the Twilight books from my daughter to read.
The young man seems to have acting in his blood – no pun intended. 🙂
Fun choices, and I like the carnation blur in the foreground of the first shot as well. On first read I thought it was a cardinal, so the blur made perfect sense lol.
i enjoyed these photos! love the vampire photo!
Great choices!
My Ruby Tuesday
Perfect and ecclectic mix of reds–as usual :O)
Is there anything ‘redder’ than a clown’s nose. Thanks for sharing your neighborhood.
excellent collection
each one so different from the others
Nice pics, I love the first one, very nice.
My favorite is the vampire! Happy RT!
I have never seen a gray catbird before. We have the usual ones here. My rubies are here.
I like them all Leora but the one with the bird really caught me eye!

What wonderful reds! I love the photo of the bird…looking so proud.
Such vibrancy in the other two photos!
They’re all nifty but the first is my favorite this week ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
Remarkable REDs, Leora! Especially the first one with just a smudge of red. 🙂
