I took several photos of my daughter’s adventurous friend walking in the creek at Howell Farm in Mercer County, New Jersey.

I really like this effect on the photo you chose!
Really interesting, especially the second photo. Did you read my post (last Saturday evening) about Maggie Taylor.?
Your creations are more abstract than Maggie Taylor’s but I found her work and what she explained (on a video at the exhibition) fascinating.
That’s a very creative and very pretty effect you applied there!
Oh I love that effect. I wonder if it would work in Paint Shop Pro? I will have to check out your link.
I would think so – Paint Shop Pro has layer masks. You do need watercolor brushes, and I just found this post on how to convert Photoshop brushes to Paint Shop Pro brushes:

Wonderful ‘watercolor’ treatment to this beautiful photos. Thanks for the link to the tutorial. I need to learn how to do this ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
Very creative. It’s so cool what we can to with photos these days.
Interesting effects.

I love those colors that you added as effect! The yellow outfit and the water pastels makes it very happy view / like from a sweet dream/. My boys like to walk in creeks too!
The girls were out of control! I was off photographing wildflowers, and my husband was standing on a bridge watching them … little did I know but all three girls had marched into the creek with their sneakers on! They had so much fun.
unique and beautiful…
My favourite is the first shot, where the yellows dominate the palette, and there is nothing but the girl and the water! I could totally see that on a gallery wall!!
Thanks for choosing a favorite. I did that one after I did the other one. I would like to try this again, on another photo, and perhaps “fuss” less with it – just get the effect I want with a few strokes.
lovely
That is truly a cool trick. I don’t have photoshop; but I use something else comparable I think. I will have to learn to do this.
Thanks for visiting my water image at http://www.ewok1993.wordpress.com
This is a fabulous technique, and I think it works very well with your photos. Lovely pictures!
Oh, Leora, I love the pastels! Great water color effect, especially on the first photo. Thanks for the link, but since I am a beginner will try to learn.
I like the effect! It’s great look here.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that done before – How pretty!
Happy WW!
I love these!
The first is my favorite – very fairytale like.
beautiful composition!
Really nice.
Beautiful, romantic atmosphere in each photo! The colours seem to melt into one another!
I just LOVE your pictures!!
It’s like stepping into a fairytale..
Marvelous!!
The first one is very fetching indeed, almost like an old hand tinted photo.
Your artistic touch is fun and adds a sweetness to the images.

wow, I love it, that is truly amazing!
The first one has blond hair though, so I’m assuming that’s not your daughter.
I would love to try this out…
It’s amazing you can actually create your own borders/backgrounds to images, and it really adds to it.
No, that’s not my daughter.
very gorgeous indeed.
great job. keep it up.
A really beautiful and sensitive images, thank you!

wow! beautiful!!! Love the first picture…I think it stands out because the way brush strokes frame it, it looks like a part of the picture!

Wow! I love the watercolor effect!
The photos are wonderful, so filled with emotion, and the effects enhance the beautiful visuals.
