Macro of the Giant Peach OK, it’s a regular-sized peach, but I liked the title. I bought these peaches at the farmer’s market on Friday. For more macros, visit Macro Monday:
Great texture study in these two beauties. The title of your post makes me reflect on “James and the Giant Peach”. Reply

The title also made me think of “James and the Giant Peach”. Nice velvety texture and warm colors. Reply

Beautiful shots! I have peaches on my little tree for the first time this year, and I’m hoping they actually make it to full grown juicy peaches! Reply
Great macro shots – I love how you can see all the detail of the skin in that second photo, so interesting. Reply
Nice! What a coincidence I posted a macro of orange day before this post! http://www.flickr.com/photos/dhavaljani/5945265376/ Reply
Haha you sure did a better job than me!Also you have nice contrasts of yellow, red and the white strands look like ice. Reply
Subject matter: local peaches are fab. The oranges get shipped in from – do I even know where at this time of the year? I bet a locally grown orange, especially the rare organic orange, might be a more varied subject. Reply
Thanks. Too bad I don’t have any fig trees or figs to photograph. And it’s so hot and humid, I don’t even feel like going outside. Reply
