It’s cold out there! I took a walk through Johnson Park last week; I couldn’t find much other than these ducks. Then I headed over to the Native Plant Reserve to see brown remnants of last spring’s joyous perennials. You can see more if you click on each thumbnail above.
In the above photo are the ducks with the colorful reflections around them (the image in the thumbnail is a cropped version).
In other nature news, my daughter taught me that the New Jersey state bird is a goldfinch and the New Jersey state flower is a violet.
Lovely capture of the ducks and the reflection looks beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your Nature photos. In France, we don’t have specific birds and flowers for the different regions. I have always found this quite interesting.
I like the contrast between the muted colors of the reflections in this photo and the brighter colors of the reflection in your graffiti picture in the previous post.
Have an easy and meaningful fast!
I love the reflection of the ducks. Looks like a pleasant walk.
Such beauty even in the bareness of winter.
Ducks always bring a smile to my face
you captured some lovely watery reflections
Pretty reflections and nice of the mallards to comply..I am happy anytime I can see ducks… Really a goldfinch…I will have to go and look up what NY is…duh..the blue bird…I knew that or should have. Thank you for linking up to Nature Notes Leora….
As you know, I look forward to Nature Notes each week. And if I have time to participate, all the better. Thank you for hosting it.
