Today’s Flowers: Snowdrops

I took this photo last week, before the snow. Today, one week later, all our snow is gone! Part of me is sad, but then, the birds are happy and chirping; they are announcing: spring! Yesterday I walked past a different neighbor whose snowdrops had already formed blooms.

Snowdrops are so darling. They look so fragile and innocent to me. Can’t wait to see them in full bloom!
I’d rather have the snow drops than the snow, anyday. Can’t wait to see them flower.

So wonderful to see signs of spring, even if it’s not in my own country! Snowdrops are so delicate and lovely!
I’m not sure what a snow drop looks like but just the green is nice to look at after this cold winter.
What lovly snowdrops . Here in the North of Sweden we have a lot of snow so any sign of snowdrops isn´t showing yet.

I don’t know what snowdrops are. I’ll have to look them up. It will be nice to see those in bloom. It looks like there will be a lot of them.

It’s always so exciting to see the first green shoots breaking through the snow or what was just recently frozen ground. Hope SPRINGS eternal!

They are such durable little things, growing uner snow as knowing spring is on the way. They don’t mind s snowy blanket even when in full bloom and will bounce right back when it is gone. The earliest flower of spring to give hope of the change in seasons.

Nice to see the tips of new life in your garden, Leora. I’m a little sad that winter is passing soon because I think it’s a beautiful season but I’m looking forward to flowers in my gardens. Nothing in mine yet, though.

Snow drops cheering grey days into light!
I am so happy to experience Spring in the desert!
I think of not having the snow (I’m one that loves it) but I’ve sat with my glass doors to my deck open for two days listening to the birds and things are sprouting – just another season to love.
Hope you’ll show us these again when they bloom.

Are they snowdrops? Or crocuses? All are so very welcome, aren’t they? One of my bulbs shows a tiny bud; I’ll have to go out there and photograph it!
I’m pretty sure they are snowdrops, from past memory. I saw some crocuses further down the block yesterday. Maybe I’ll have a chance to run down the block and take some photos of those, before they all fade away!

Yes, I can do shots like these, but I need to buy a telephoto lens to do anything at a distance. I think I need a good discussion with a camera-knowledgeable person.
