We visited Lee Turkey Farm in East Windsor, New Jersey last Sunday. I took a mere 150 pictures that day. I’ve already posted apples, pumpkins, and a girl pulling a cart.
I love old nineteenth century homes. This one at the Lee Turkey Farm entrance, built in 1802, has such pretty details on the top cornice.
In the distance in the above photo, where there are itty bitty signs of scarecrows, is the corn maze. My son, his friend and my husband did the corn maze while my daughter and I hung around the playground. They only got six out of eight clues. It wasn’t easy, but they enjoyed it.
Above are the “scarecrow” signs at the entrance to the corn maze.

I like the first and second ones best. The little signs are pretty.
I like these farm pictures with the almost-clear sky. It is so blue. Looks like a fun and wonderful place to be!
Jolie photo pour le challenge
Looks like a fun day. 🙂 Wonderful photos!
I really like that first one, with the fruit highlighted against the sky.
I like the scarecrows, too, and I’m glad you added that picture onto the skywatches.
its lovely looks like a very fun place to be!
Leora, you are so sweet to want to help me on my WordPress quest. I actually dived right into some HTML on my styleshseet today and at leasst figured out how to change colors.
Next I want to figure out how to replace the 960p x 140p header with my own jpeg of that size. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! I do have an aquaintance here in Austin who would be happy to help me should I need it. So far so good.
Oh maybe one question – how do I put up my custom avatar for the comments box?
I’m from Nova Scotia originally. Miss the fall . Miss the Northeast, boo-hoo. Lovely pix, thanks.

Wonderful photos of the day. I especially like the first one with the apple tree and its apples silhouetted against the sky. A beautiful shot.
great photos!!!!1
The corn mazes are becoming the real thing to do around here in the fall. I am with you, I will look at all the pretties and let somebody handle the maze.
Nice catch….. Great job! Reminds me the saying,,,, We never know how high we are, till we are called to rise and then, if we are true to plan our statures touch the sky… Happy Skywatch! Hope you can visit my SWF entry too…
It looks like theirs plenty for everybody to enjoy at that farm. And you had to take that many shots too. Happy skywatching.
This is such a great time to visit farms. I’ve never been in a corn maze. Ha! I’d likely get lost and never find my way out. Maybe someone would hear my screams and take pity on me. 😉 Happy Sky Watch!
That tree is shouting: come and pick me!! 🙂
Great photos. Happy SWF
here’s just something so pretty about tfruit bearing trees against a big blue sky.
Great photos – would love to taste those apples fresh off the tree. Happy SWF!
Red little apples on the trees against that blue sky is pretty looking 🙂
Happy SkyWatch!
I find the shapely lines of the chimney in your skywatch photo rather enchanting. I wonder if it had a purpose or was just for beauty? Probably for a reason as in those early times, most things were so something would work better. I think the corn maze sounds like fun.
ann
Ann, thanks for commenting on the chimney. I really liked the architecture up there, and now that I’m looking at it, yes, it is a rather “voluptuous” chimney. It would be interesting to find out if it had any functionality, that shape.
Beautiful series! My favorite is the first one with the apple tree.
Beautiful – I’m sure the memories from that day are well documented, if these are but a sampling of what you took. Very nicely done.
Leora: What a great job of taking advantage of the place you visit to get neat Sky photos. Happy SWF.
Beautiful. That is the way to really enjoy fall…
It that time the year for harvest and beauty.
Wonderful pictures. I just love farms and wide open spaces.
Cheers
Marvelous series of shots!
Well done!

Nice series of fall photos for Sky Watch. I really like the one of apples in the sky.
Lovely photos! Happy SWF!
Nice “farm” skies. A corn maze : I’ve never been in one, must be special and fun, as long as you get out again 🙂
What a wonderful day! One of the great things about fall are days like this. I’ve never done a corn maze but think it would be fun.
Beutiful “farm-sky watch”. It is nice to see the colours of the fruit against the sky.
