Thursday Challenge: Fresh Slaw

cole slaw - fresh tekka - cabbage with carrots, ginger, orange, miso
The recipe for this dish of cabbage with carrots, ginger, orange, miso is here as Winter Slaw and here as Fresh Tekka. It is adapted from a macrobiotic recipe, and if I have the time, I make it once a week.

Thursday’s Challenge is “FOOD” (Meals, Restaurants, Eating, Vegetables, Unusual Foods, Cooking, BBQs,…).

If you really like food shots, see the apple pie in the previous post.

Once a week! That's quite often. Who eats it in your family?
It looks good and healthy.

Just the adults. I could it eat it all myself easily.

This looks like a vegetarian dish my mother-in-law loved to whip up, whenever she was at her wits' end about what to cook...

Miso....I don't know what that is ...and I probably should...

Miso is fermented soy paste. You can make it without the miso, but it does add a nice subtle flavor. Miso soup is wonderful stuff - delicious and healing.

I'd love a salad like that. You're invited to make it in my kitchen!
