- 1 banana
- 1/2 pint raspberries
- 1 Tbsp. oat milk or almond milk or rice milk
Put banana, raspberries and oat milk in the blender or food processor and blend. You can double or triple the recipe if you have friends visiting.
When you have finished most of your smoothie, don’t panic. Add some grape juice and seltzer, and enjoy a new version of this treat.
You can also use blackberries and/or blueberries, but then you can’t really use the photographs for Ruby Tuesday:
I was inspired by the Green Smoothie of Reluctant Vegetarian, but when I suggested the addition of kale to the smoothie, my daughter balked.

I think I would have turned down the kale too. Lovely photo, though.
Great recipe! Happy RT!
That looks yummy!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

The photos are most tempting.
I like that you have other liquids than ordinary milk for your smoothie. Gunnar has lactose intolerance, and I need to find healthier alternatives.
Your tap dancing daughter is absolutely wonderful.
The elegance of her right hand buckling the shoe;
I’m sure you could make a splendid photo of that alone.
I’m lactose intolerant, as well. It’s quite common that adults can’t tolerate cow’s milk.
that looks delicious and perfect for RT. Happy Valentine’s Day!
this is great blended with ice, perfect for our ho and humid weather here.
This sounds very good. I’m not sure how I’d feel about kale in my smoothie either. 🙂
Yummers! And adding kale (or spinach) would be awesome! But understand how some are reluctant. Just adding a little bit to start helps. Happy V-Day!
What a lovely suggestion! I should make smoothie more often. I guess you used frozen raspberries. My mom gave me some a couple of weeks ago.
Why do you put so little milk?
No, we have fresh raspberries from Florida. The U.S. is a big country!
You can add more milk, if you like. I like it thick and creamy. All a matter of taste.
Smoothies are a tat that doesn’t need to wait for Summer! The rubies here are amazing, the seltzer edit a wonderful and different way to enjoy. Perfect ruby treats!
yum! My kinda smoothie!
My Ruby Tuesday, hope you had a nice valentine!
Love the sound of adding the grape juice and seltzer – the goodness just keeps going!
Hello and Happy Ruby Tuesday!
Great photos of some ruby colored drinks.
During the summer heat on 4th of July , we froze fresh strawberries; today would be a perfect day to whip up a smoothie. I use Vanilla Soy milk, a little cran raspberry juice and 1 Tablespoon of protein powder (without whey)in my smoothies.
that looks so refreshing
What yummlicious looking photos! I’ll be right over for one. 🙂
My kind of drink! (I’m a vegetarian.)
