My suburban example is watermelon at the annual Congregation Etz Ahaim picnic in Johnson Park, New Jersey.
This woman in New York City was accompanied by two men also dressed in black, funny outfits. No idea what they were trying to sell. They did get a lot of people’s attention.

Nice idea to contrast these two photos. The watermelon looks very fresh. I enjoy watermelons but they are always so big!
Mmmm… watermelon. That looks so appealing I think I’ll have some with lunch today :). I wonder what the woman’s bell skirt thing was all about, there’s probably an interesting story there…
Thanks for the link to my cherries photo by the way – it makes me crave them too every time I look at it! I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s inspired in you.
My photography is available for purchase – visit Around the Island Photography and bring home something beautiful today!
My kids love watermelon! Look so fresh and good.
Nice contrasts with the other photo.
Happy Sunday to you!
The bright colors of a ripe watermelon do say summertime in the most pleasant way!
the watermelon looks splendid – the lady in the black…ball? not so sure about her!
What lovely captures. The watermelon looks refreshing on this triple digit temperature day in SoCA.
Triple digit – yikes!
