Your pictures make me homesick for American fall (or even Jerusalem fall- Ranaana can only muster searingly hot heat waves so far this fall. Although I did spot a beautiful tree shedding some yellow curvy leaves- it wasn’t a ginko, have no idea what tree it was). Those turning leaves bring back so many memories of apple picking, carved pumpkins everywhere and Thanksgiving meals. Though I don’t miss all that Halloween commercialization everywhere.

We get less of it in our area – lots of Jews live here! If I lived in Israel, it would have to be some place cooler than Ranaana.
I try – not always successfully!
– to impress upon my kids the idea that teachers appreciate it when their students put a little extra effort into an assignment – whether it’s handing it in early or making an attractive cover, etc.

For some obscure reason, this post only appeared in my rss feed this evening. So here is a belated thanks for the link.
I now know that that tree is a striped maple as we have one in our front yard and the color is beautiful…another piece of nature trivia I have picked up..lol
